Valgrind for Mac OS X
Here, from Greg Parker. This is terrific — Valgrind is a fantastic tool for finding bugs in code, and I’ve been waiting for a Mac OS X version for a very long time. I even spent a couple weekends working on porting it three or four years ago, but I ran out of time. I’m really glad to see Greg’s version here. It works, too.

And I’ve spent I don’t know how many weekends working on it since December 2004. Wow, almost four years.

Thanks, Greg!
The port is now in a DARWIN branch in the regular valgrind svn tree,
and seems to be progressing nicely. We’re using now every day!
In case anyone hasn’t seen it yet, Nick N. has regular updates on
Mac Valgrind progress; see e.g.
