Can’t find that Mongolian-Philadelphia connection
I’m in Philadelphia for a couple of days to see my family and to go to a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park. More on that later, hopefully. Tonight, I had dinner with a friend from high school whom I hadn’t seen in nearly eight years. Kim and I were talking about all kinds of things, and at one point I mentioned Mongolian barbecue. She’d never heard of it. I wandered off to Google just now, and I can’t find a single Mongolian barbecue place in the Philadelphia area. Hopefully I’m just lacking in the Google Search Skillz department, since it’d truly be sad if there wasn’t a single Mongolian barbecue place in this part of the world.

Doesn’t look good:

That’s what I’d call a “franchise opportunity”

Hmm…that’s an interesting thought.

I haven’t been to check it in a few years, but the Hong Kong buffet out on Street Road used to have a Mongolian bbq section. Most in the city have disappeared. On the other hand, just take her for a Tony Luke’s steak with extra sharp provalone, then everyone will be happy.
